Where Are We With COVID-19?  A Guide for Employers
Presented by Fred Bissinger, Managing Member, & Ed Trent, Member,  Wimberly Lawson

Bissinger Trent

The Covid-19 infection, hospitalization, and death rates are unfortunately on the rise again. Whether our economy is “shut down” again is to be determined. Schools, places of public accommodation, and businesses are all having to grapple with how to provide safe environments given the spread of Covid. The Biden administration is taking steps to mandate vaccinations for most federal employees and contractors. Certain private employers may also be mandated to require vaccinations or face stiff penalties. Consequently, employers are faced with a host of problematic issues that have no easy answers. This session will focus on helping employers identify the primary Covid-related issues with strategies for addressing same.

Learning Objectives:

  • Long Haul Covid presents a number of complicated issues for employers, including ADA and FMLA challenges. This session will address how to identify and navigate same.
  • Covid has created a spike in mental health issues that have negatively affected employees and employers. This session will address how to identify and navigate same.
  • President Biden is in the process of aggressively addressing vaccinations for federal employers and contractors, as well as pursuing other related initiatives that will inevitably affect private employers.

Registration:

Cost: $14 by end of business Monday, October 4, $18 afterwards.

Details: Registration will close at 3:00 PM the day before the webinar, and log-in instructions will be emailed directly from the webinar host.

Why am I seeing a charge to attend this webinar?

It's a good question, and hopefully we can provide an even better answer! With so much on-line content we realize you can find many free programs, and we have been very pleased to have offered free webinars over the past 18 months. However, as your small, nonprofit State Council, we must find ways to stay financially solvent. Tennessee SHRM does not have membership dues like the chapters do.  Instead, we rely on our sponsor-presented events and in-person conferences, like the Strategic Leadership Conference, to make enough money to keep the doors open. We hope that your find our programs of value and be glad to make a small $14 contribution so we may continue to offer these kind of on-time, on-target and on-line webinars as we have done.

Thanks so much for your support of Tennessee SHRM!
